Child and Adolescent Therapeutic Family Work

Children and adolescents who may have had a traumatic start to life, such as through adoption may develop issues with their mental health and behaviour as they reach puberty and into their teenage years. Our team has a number of years’ experience of working with children and adolescents in both statutory and private settings. It is this wealth of knowledge and expertise which brings such good outcomes for families experiencing these kinds of issues.

Your sessions will involve an assessment before any plan is made with the family’s collaboration to move forward and overcome the presenting difficulties. Interventions are based on dyadic developmental therapy as well as solution focussed and CBT. Dyadic developmental therapy is one of the most up to date approaches and is evidence based. It is recommended for children and adolescents with a traumatic start to life.
